As is required in the legislation (HB 7105), the nine-member task force will undertake a range of study assignments including: establishing a definition of distance learning course that will guide further policy initiatives, promotion of the online catalog of courses and programs, creation of a central content repository for instructional resources, the development of a streamlined registration system for distance learning students, and the future direction of the Florida Distance Learning Consortium. The task force report is due by March 1, 2009.
